Cheri works at Allied Health Alliance in Gisbourne and Woodend Consulting Rooms

Cheri is a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Counsellor and Psychotherapist. She has extensive experience working in Adult Mental Health Services in Australia and the NHS UK, supporting individuals with various mental health presentations. 

​

Cheri also supports Nurses experiencing various challenges in their professional and personal lives.

​

Cheri holds a Bachelor of Nursing (MH) e.q, a Graduate Diploma in Counselling and a Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy. Her interests are Women’s Mental Health, Burnout, Anxiety, Depression, Life Transitions and Adjustments, and Trauma. 

​

Cheri is an Integrative Practitioner and draws on several Therapeutic Models, including ACT, (TF)ACT DBT, Solution Focused Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Hypnosis and Relational Psychotherapy, to fit the individual needs of her clients.

Cheri is passionate about the therapeutic relationship and emphasises the Therapist/Client alliance as the basis of all psychological healing. She prides herself in offering a warm, welcoming, safe space where clients can feel comfortable exploring their challenges. 

One of Cheri’s strongest-held values is the importance of embracing diversity. She welcomes everyone to her practice and believes the world is better when we embrace each other’s differences.
