Alison has over 30 years experience working in community, government and private practice settings, and has experience working with a broad range of issues. She is eclectic in her approach employing the following therapeutic frameworks: Internal Family Systems, Polyvagal, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness, Trauma Informed Therapies (Including EMDR, Brainspotting, Somatic Therapy).
Alison has recently returned from a break from Private Practice. On returning, she has decided to reduce her time providing therapeutic treatment, to primarily focus on providing Autism Diagnostic assessments to children and adults. She offers a limited number of therapy appointments in Gisborne.
Alison is a fully registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency, a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi) and an Associate Member of EMDRAA
